Contact lens care starts with a careful medical evaluation of your eyes, not just a prescription check. We assess vision, corneal health, and tear quality so your lenses support clear, comfortable vision and fit safely into your long-term eye health plan.
Contact Lenses Matched to Your Eyes & Lifestyle
We fit lenses for new and experienced wearers, from busy professionals who prefer daily disposable lenses to children and teens in myopia management programs. During your visit, we talk through how often you want to wear lenses, your screen time, and any past issues so our recommendations feel realistic for your everyday routine.
What Happens at a Contact Lens Exam
A dedicated contact lens exam includes detailed measurements of your cornea, evaluation of your eyelids and tear film, and a review of your medical and contact lens history. We use this information to select trial lenses, check vision and comfort in your eyes, and fine-tune the fit before finalizing your prescription.
Specialty Contact Lenses for Complex Prescriptions
For patients who do not get good vision or comfort from regular soft contacts, our eye doctor is also very experienced in fitting specialty contact lenses such as scleral lenses and hybrid contact lenses. Scleral lenses are most appropriate for irregular corneas like keratoconus, severe dry eyes or corneal scarring. Hybrid lenses can provide clearer vision than soft contact lenses and can be more comfortable than traditional gas permeable lenses.
Myopia Management & Nighttime Lens Options
Our eye doctors also fit contact lenses as part of structured myopia management for children and teens. Options may include ortho-k lenses worn overnight to reshape the front surface of the eye and slow myopia progression, or other specialty lenses paired with treatments like Stellest® when appropriate. We review the benefits, responsibilities, and follow-up schedule with families so everyone understands how the program works.
Whether you are trying contact lenses for the first time, looking to solve discomfort with your current lenses, or seeking solutions for a complex prescription, our team is ready to help. We combine advanced diagnostics with careful follow-up so your lenses support both comfort today and healthy eyes over the long term.
